Faith for Change

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit”
(2 Corinthians 3:18)

Pray for….

-That we would be experiencing increased freedom in our lives
-That we would be “beholding the glory of the Lord” — seeking God by His Word and through prayer
-The Lord would grant us continuing victory over the sins which tend to stay present in our lives
-Cultural sins and sins in our family history would not have a bondage over us.
-Covenant Group ministry would be a means for accomplishing lasting change
-We would be pursuing conformity to the image of Christ
-That we would be a community of “people in need of change helping people in need of change”

April: Faith

Faith for Growth

“…and the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved” (Acts 2.47)

Pray for….

Growing Wide:
-God to give us faith to pray and work for increased growth
-Lord to continue to bring visitors to the church
-Those who have begun to attend to sense a calling here and join in membership
-That we would effectively connect with newcomers
-That one day we would “over-flow” into a church plant

Growing Deep:
-Covenant Group ministry would flourish as a means of growth
-Leadership Development Group — an effective time of training and maturing new leaders
-We would be a church filled with people who are hungry for the Word, fervent in prayer, and committed to the local church

Faith in Trials

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him” (James 1:1-5)

Pray for….

-Strengthening of faith for all in the church who are suffering
-God to heal those who are physically afflicted
-Comfort for those who are mourning
-Depressed to sense the nearness of the Lord
-God to give faith to the church to pray for healing
-Restoration of broken relationships that have caused pain
-Peace and trust for those who are questioning “Why?”
-We would be a church filled with people who are steadfast
under trial, who hope in God, who love Jesus more than our own lives or comfort, and who are a witness to the world in our suffering.

March: Mission of the Church

Pray for….

-Protection for the Ranch and the city from all of the violence
-Peace for the staff and the children
-Opportunities for the spread of the gospel in the community
-Strengthening of Dean as he leads in this difficult season
-Help for the Ranch financially as school enrollment has dropped
-God to put an end to the outbreak of evil in Juarez and Guadalupe
-God to continue to make an opportunity for the planting of a church on the property of the Ranch
